Legislative Affairs

Policy decisions, as well as the philosophies and culture of various government entities, have a tremendous impact on the availability on affordable housing. As such, the Commission works diligently to accomplish the following.

• Foster and maintain relationships with elected and municipal officials.
• Track all relevant federal, state, county, and local legislation, and provide Commissioners and other interested parties with the tools needed to comment and organize around such legislation.
• Create and pursue its own agenda, in order to make more affordable housing available in the County.
