Home Buyer Education Classes

AHC offers a free 3.5-hour education class to help you navigate the complex process of purchasing a home. You will receive an orientation to AHC's Home Buyer Programs, learn about qualifying for a mortgage, finding a property, working with home inspectors and attorneys, negotiating the sale, resolving budgeting and credit issues, and much more. Classes are open to the community at large, but completion of home buyer education is REQUIRED for all households utilizing AHC’s First-Time Home Buyer Program or Affordable Plus Mortgage. Classes are offered in English and Spanish, in the evenings and on the weekends.
