Partnership Opportunities for Lenders

Benefits to Lenders:

Only AHC participating lenders can access AHC's homebuyer programs, and thereby offer a significant value-added service for your mortgage customers. We can also help you meet your company's internal community goals. For example:

  • AHC programs can provide your customers with up to $50,000 in downpayment and closing cost assistance.
  • Mortgage lenders can partner their company's own mortgage products with AHC's to significantly lower the borrower's monthly mortgage payment.
  • As a HUD-certified agency, AHC can provide all of your education and counseling needs.
  • Participation as an AHC lender will help you meet your Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals under the lender, service and investment tests.

For more information on AHC programs, reference the How to Become an AHC Participating Lender section below, or click on the Home Buyer Programs tab, and the Buyer Education and Counseling tab.

Eligible Lenders:

Financial institutions and mortgage bankers are eligible to become an AHC participating lender. Those groups that are strictly mortgage brokers are not eligible.

Cost to Lender:

  • An annual financial commitment (currently $3,500).
  • All loan officers originating loans through AHC’s homebuyer programs must attend an annual training session (approximately 90 minutes).
  • Sign a commitment form stating that your company will adhere to program guidelines.

How to Become an AHC Participating Lender:

Our Lender Participation Packet provides you with everything you will need to become an AHC lender. Upon your request, a hard copy will be mailed to you (you may find this helpful as the packet contains several items). For your convenience, however, links to the items contained in the packet are included here.
