The Rental Housing Support Program (RHS) is a statewide program that provides rental assistance to income-qualified households. Households in the program pay approximately 30% of their income toward rent and live in an approved unit. The remaining rent is paid through grant funds. In Lake County, RHS is administered by the Affordable Housing Corporation of Lake County. Participants may not be receiving any other housing subsidy, such as a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher.
Qualifying households must have GROSS annual household income (i.e., incomes from all sources) that do not exceed the below limits. Income limits are based on household size.
RHS funding is very limited.
The waitlist to apply for the program is currently closed.
